The Seven Wells

The 7 wells situated before the falls are of varying heights for water to flow in if there is heavy rain thereby regulating the volume of torrential rain that comes down from the hills.

Vertical concrete wells were embedded into the river bed and water that flows into it will gush out through a watergate of 7 outlets plunging about 3 meters into a pool.

Serendah Waterfall

Serendah waterfall is not as popular as Kanching Recreational Forest Waterfalls as it is further away from the major towns and there is only a simple fall with limited pool space. It is located near the orang asli villages and is a good place for picnic and family outing if you have not been here before. There are parking bays available as well as basic facilities such as toilets, changing rooms and shelter with benches.

Orang Asli / Native Village

Far from being hidden, Kampung Damai is just beside the Serendah main road. And there’s a grand archway at the entrance.

Largely a residential area, the interesting landmark here is that of a modern, single-storey bungalow. It’s the first house visitors will see when they enter the road leading into this village.

Bukit Takun, Templer Park

Bukit Takun is a beautiful gigantic limestone outcrop sitting on a granite base, surrounded by real jungle and the Templer’s Golf Course. The Cliff is around 300m in height, the longest continuous walls are up to 230m. The crag hosts a variety of single and long multipitch routes, currently all of them situated at the east face. This place is also known for its trad routes, however, most of the routes and especially the new ones are bolted. The potential is enormous. For now the crag holds more than 80 routes featuring more than 120 pitches, making it the largest climbing area in the Klang region.

Batu Dam, Ulu Yam

The Batu Dam or Empangan Batu is one of the dams that supplies water to the residents of Klang Valley. The treatment plant at Sungai Batu produces over 100 million litres of water a day. This dam is located a few kilometres away from Batu Caves and is on the left hand side of the Jalan Sungai Tua road as you drive towards Ulu Yam town. The Jalan Sungai Tua road is winding and surrounded by hills. Enjoy the scenery and greeneries as you drive here.

Ulu Tamu Hot Spring

Hulu Tamu Hot Spring is a natural hot spring about seven kilometres from Batang Kali town in the Hulu Selangor district of Selangor State.

The facilities here have been upgraded recently by the district council with the addition of concrete shelters and gazebos and by encasing the spring pool with concrete walls. The pool is divided into two sections, one with the natural hot spring water and the other with cooler water suitable for swimming and paddling.
