What is the check-in and check-out time?
Guests can check-in from 2pm-6pm. If you have to check-in after 6pm due to unavoidable circumstances, please let us know your estimated arrival time via email as soon as possible. Check-out time is 12pm.
Is there an additional charge for children?
Children under eight years of age are welcome to stay for free on the condition that they share the bed with a parent, as we do not have cots available. Full rates apply for children aged eight and above.m.
Do you have high-chairs for babies and toddlers?
There are two high chairs available at the retreat.
We are bringing the kids along. Is there anything we should be aware of?
Mosquito coils are provided in each chalet/room, however we strongly recommend bringing insect repellent for your family’s use.
Do you provide personal hygiene toiletries?
Our kampung-style themed living means we do not provide personal hygiene items like towels and toiletries. Kindly bring your own towels, toothpaste and personal toiletries.
Is the Retreat wheelchair-friendly?
Unfortunately the Retreat is not equipped for disabled access at this stage.
Do you have safety deposit boxes?
We do not provide safety deposit boxes. Carpe Diem Orchard Home is not responsible for lost items, so we strongly suggest that you do not carry too much cash and leave your valuables at home.
What type of kitchen utensils are provided in the main kitchen?
The main kitchen is equipped with basic utensils (microwave) for preparing instant meals or hot beverages, or consuming takeaway meals.
Can we catch the fish in the pond and cook?
No, strictly catch and release only.
How much fruit we can pluck and consume?
Just enough for consumption during the stay. Note: Some fruits are seasonal. Fruit-picking is strictly under caretaker’s supervision.
What does the orchard have besides fruit trees?
The orchard has small vegetables and herbs beds, and a variety of chickens and ducks. It has fish ponds for fun fishing. Guests can also walk/track and cycle around the 18 acres of lush greenery. For more information on the facilities, click here
Can we have BBQ?
Yes, you just need to bring your own food. A BBQ pit with charcoal and BBQ equipment are available along with basic cutlery and crockery.
Can we organise photo shoots at the Retreat?
(Pre-Wedding or filming) Yes, but only in the chalet(s) you have rented, the garden and orchard, and the swimming pool area. Photography in or around other chalets is prohibited, even if they are vacant. The cost for conducting a photo shoot at the Retreat is the price of the chalet(s)/room(s) booked + a RM200 surcharge. A minimum of one chalet/room booking is required.
Are there any special discounts for corporates/groups/government servants?
No, all guests will have access to the same rate.
Cancellation and change of date policy:
Cancellation Policy
The guest can cancel free of charge until 14 days before arrival. The guest will be charged the total price if they cancel in the 14 days before arrival.
Change Of Date Policy
All requests are subject to availablility and rate may vary and guests must pay the difference. A change of date request made via email less than 14 days before the scheduled check-in date, an administrative fee of 20% of the total booking rate will be imposed.
